Tread plate, also known as “diamond plate”, “checked plate”, “floor plate” is a steel sheet or plate with a regular pattern of raised diamonds or lines on one side.
The advantages of tread plates are that they are slip resistant (even when wet or icy), hygienic, protective and attractive. They are usually used in parking lots, garages, stairways, elevators, loading docks, warehouses, distribution centers, hospitals, factories, ships, floating docks, refrigerator trucks, walk-in freezers, elevators, walkways, handicapped access ramps and others.
